Amnesty International Action Group

This group has been an ongoing voice for human rights in our community. Killester students have campaigned on a gamut of issues, bringing a voice to those who are so often kept voiceless and without rights. Campaigns have invovled issues such as prisoners of conscience, asylum seekers and refugees, violence against women, the death penalty, anti-terror laws and Guantanamo Bay and human rights abuses inside China. Awareness raising has taken on many forms to bring these issues into students' lives.

Trivia Night

Last year, we held the inaugural trivia night to raise awareness about human rights abuses inside China.  Videos, guest speakers, music, sports challenges, letter writing, prizes and more made an entertaining night. We anticipate holding the event again in Term 3, 2009.
