Social Justice
At Killester we follow the Gospel values of Jesus as well as the Kildare Education Ministries Social Justice CharterΒ : Living Peace, Living Justice Principles.
We have several social justice groups including the Justice and Democracy group and the St Vincent De Paul group. We have also begun a number of service aspects in Year 12 school-based RE.
Various groups are involved in raising awareness and funds:

- Project Compassion through Caritas, Australia. This is a whole school project launched on Ash Wednesday.
- Senior students service Joeyβs Food Van serving the poor in Dandenong through our connection with St Josephβs Parish.
- The Poor Persons Mass donates to St Vincent De Paul Springvale
- Building Bridges is an Interfaith Dialogue project for Year 10 and 11 students
- Year 12 service βSt Kilda Mumsβ and St Josephs Primary School.
- The Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project is supported each Brigidine Day and at Christmas
- The Winter Sleepover in term two for senior students
- Wallara disability awareness excursions
- Student Strike for Climate Change
- Big Issue Excursions
- Palm Sunday March for Refugees
